NARMC EMS HAZ-MAT
HAZ-MAT (Hazardous Material) Teams are specialized in dealing with Hazardous Material incidents. These incidents, while rare, have the potential to cause disease, death and injury to widespread victims. Previously there were no local agencies able to handle a HAZMAT incident. NARMC EMS has filled that void.
NARMC EMS currently has 18 trained HAZMAT team members. All are trained to a minimum of the Operations Level with 4 Team Members trained at the Technician Level (With more slated to obtain the Technician Level certification soon). This enables NARMC EMS to quickly mobilize and respond to a HAZMAT disaster with confidence and expertise.
By developing the HAZMAT Team, NARMC EMS has gained the knowledge and training to save potential lives in a disaster. This fits perfectly within the confines of our motto, "We're Here For Life."
