NARMC EMS KATRINA RESPONSE

On Friday September 2, 2005 thirteen NARMC EMS team members departed for Louisiana in the wake of the most devastating natural disaster in US history. Leaving a trail of destruction over 90,000 square miles, there was much to do. NARMC EMS crews spearheaded the effort to rescue victims from the flooded regions of New Orleans. Using airboats for transportation, crews rescued almost 300 people from the toxic floodwaters. Countless gallons of water, food and medical attention was delivered to those in need.
